In addition to the speaker's honorarium there are expenses. These are typically billed after the event and can include 1st class airfare, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, meals, and out-of-pocket expenses.
Contained with your contract will be a background questionaire. This allows you to provide timely and relevant information for your speaker's review. Four - six weeks prior to the event, you should mail this along with event brochures, etc. to your agent. You should also have hotel and local ground transportation arrangements reserved at this time. Approximately two weeks prior to the event, you will be informed of the speaker's travel itinerary. The lecture agency will arrange for the speaker's arrival and departure and will work with you to confirm other logistical details.
